NEW FEATURES
Added 4 new Service Provider options:
Pexip, GoToRoom, RingCentral are now available in appliance mode!
Users can now select between Zoom Rooms, Pexip, RingCentral, and GoToRoom as the room service provider when setting up the device.
Existing users can change the service provider (System Settings > System > Reset service provider)
Logitech TAP as a controller is supported across all three services.
Note: Users will need to have accounts from each service provider to use their specific application.
BYOD - Users can also choose Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) as a default service provider in appliance mode.
With this release, while in BYOD, meeting participants will see instructions on how to connect their laptops.
When set in BYOD, Logitech Tap will show common controls such as Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) and mute.
System Sounds: Logitech has added new system sounds for functions like power on, mute, volume up/down, USB connected/disconnected, and end call.
TAP Orientation Support is now available in appliance mode.
Users can change the orientation of the content on the Logitech TAP device when it is mounted on a wall.
To change the TAP orientation, go to Logitech Settings > Peripherals > TAP > Device Orientation
Use AI viewfinder to wake the device from sleep mode
Users can use the AI viewfinder to detect people in the room and wake up the device in case it is in sleep mode.
To use the AI viewfinder to wake up the device, go to Logitech Settings > System > Power-savings
IMPROVEMENTS
RightSight
RightSight can now zoom closer onto meeting participants.
Camera movement during framing has been optimized to feel more cinematic.
Zoom Room Appliance
Upgraded Zoom Rooms application to 5.6. Click for more information on Zoom Rooms 5.6.
Improved Advanced Audio Settings to enhance the in-room meeting experience:
To adjust this setting:
In appliance mode -- Use the on-device Settings app > Display Audio > Audio Processing.
In USB mode -- Configure it in the Sync app (Version 2.3.449) and Sync Portal.
BUG FIXES
Fixed Horizontal lines or artifacts found when sharing content using the built-in HDMI-IN have been resolved.
Fixed When shutting down the device within the Zoom application results in the device restarting unexpectedly has been resolved.
Fixed The issue where users could not update a device in BYOD mode while a PC was connected has been resolved.
Fixed an issue where the device would go into BYOD mode when the main display is turned off.
KNOWN ISSUES
GoToRoom
GoToRoom support for WiFi networks: The GoToRoom application does not work when using a wifi network as the connection
Workaround: The application will work with a wired connection.
Standalone BYOD appliance
White screen In BYOD mode: Sometimes, a white screen is seen when HDMI-IN is connected and the USB is disconnected.
Workaround: disconnect both the HDMI-IN and USB cable and the Room application (Zoom Room or BYOD) will be shown
