System Requirements and Video Collaboration Software Compatibility
Computing System Requirements
BRIO will run with any USB-enabled computing systems that run the operating systems and versions listed below. Note that factors such as CPU speed and memory on your computing system can impact any video or audio performance.
BRIO USB Ports Compatibility
You can use your BRIO webcam on a USB 3.1 port. Before you do, make sure your system has the most up-to-date drivers and software for the following:
USB 3.1 Host Controller
USB 3.1 Chipset
The specific USB port used
Graphics card
Motherboard BIOS
BRIO USB Cable Compatibility
BRIO ships with a USB 3.0 cable, which is compatible with USB 2.0. It is a USB Type A to Type C cable. There are USB 2.0 cables which are Type A to Type C; however, most are not as long as the shipping cable.
BRIO Compatibility with Hubs
We do not recommend using a USB hub if you’re out of USB ports or to extend the distance between your BRIO webcam and your computer. This applies to both USB 2.0 and 3.0 hubs. Using a hub can severely degrade the signal integrity and affect the overall performance of your BRIO webcam.
Operating System and Software Requirements
BRIO is natively supported on the operating systems listed below through the UVC standard and does not need additional software. Operating Systems supported for BRIO are:
Windows 8 and 10
mac OS 10.10 or later
Chromebook Version 29.0.1547.70, Platform 4319.79.0 or later
BRIO Video Collaboration Software Compatibility
BRIO video and audio will work with any application that supports the USB Video Class (UVC) standard, which is pretty much any video conferencing application. Once the device is recognized by your operating system, the application will in turn automatically recognize the camera, microphone and speaker from BRIO.
A partial list of applications that support BRIO include Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.
Logitech Management Software Compatibility
We offer applications and tools to optimize the hardware experience. In the case of BRIO, you can use Logi Tune and Sync Portal to manage your device.
WebRTC Solutions (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) Compatibility
PTZ Pro 2 is compatible with standard WebRTC, although different builds may have different requirements that should be evaluated.
