3.4 RightSight 2: Grid View & Sub-Tiling
RightSight 2: Grid View
Getting started with RightSight 2 Grid View
RightSight 2 Grid View, compatible with CollabOS 1.8 or higher, enhances the AI-framing experience with its unique capabilities alongside the existing group framing technology (Group View) and active speaker framing technology (Speaker View). Grid View ensures balanced meeting representation by eliminating unnecessary space between participants. It can display in-person meeting attendees in up to four separate grids.
Multi-Stream support
Multi-stream, introduced in CollabOS 1.9, generates multiple video feeds from the same room. This feature enhances the visibility of in-room participants for those attending remotely. It allows the camera to focus closely on groups, providing a clearer display for remote participants.

Multi-Stream Support
Zoom Rooms Appliance
Supported. Up to five video streams, including a room view.
Teams Rooms on Windows
Coming soon.
Composite View support
For service providers and modes that do not support multiple streams, Grid View is available as a single stream (composite) containing up to four separate grids. This optimizes meeting visibility by eliminating unused space and zooming in on participants to occupy their respective frames fully.
Composite-view support
All USB-based configurations

Camera Zone
The Camera Zone feature, introduced in CollabOS 1.9, allows you to set a specific area for detection and framing of meeting participants. This feature minimizes distractions by capturing only relevant activity within the set area. Setting up a zone ensures that Grid View only frames intended participants in the meeting room.

Prerequisite:
Devices: Rally Bar (CollabOS 1.9.544, Rally Bar Mini, Rally Bar Huddle
CollabOS: Rally1.9.544 or higher

Speaker Highlight
Introduced in CollabOS 1.11, Speaker Highlight indicates which of the frames generated with Grid View contain the active speaker.
Prerequisite:
Devices: Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, Rally Bar Huddle
CollabOS: 1.11 or higher
Configuration: Appliance mode (note: USB and BYOD mode coming soon)

Sub-Tiling
Introduced in CollabOS 1.12, Sub-Tiling further optimizes the space between meeting participants by utilizing smaller subframes. With Sub-Tiling, we're enhancing the Rally Bars to provide a Logitech Sight-like experience.
Smart Layouts
The new Sub-Tiling feature allows RightSight 2 to intelligently frame in-room participants using a combination of the layouts described below. These layouts are dynamic, chosen based on the proximity of the participants to each other as perceived by the device. Each layout creates a unique view.
50-50 Layout
33-66 or 66-33 Layout
33-33-33 Layout
25-25-25-25 Layout
Sub-Tiling in Multi-stream
During a multi-stream session,
Multi-Stream is designed to enhance the visibility of in-room participants by providing individual video stream for up to 4 participants in a room. For groups larger than 4, additional sub-tiles are created based on the mentioned layouts, and users in close proximity are grouped within a sub-tile.
The algorithm prioritizes framing each person in the room as an individual stream when possible. However, if two participants are sitting close to each other, they will be grouped into a single stream.
Sub-Tiling in Single Stream Composite View
During a composite view session, the smart layout is used for up to four participants. For meetings with more than four participants, additional tiles are created and each tile uses a smart layout, creating up to 16 sub-tiles within a single frame. This intelligent algorithm is designed to generate the best layout for optimal room visibility.

FAQ
How much does access to RightSight 2 Grid View cost?
CollabOS updates are provided at no additional cost to Logitech customers.
What is the recommended distance for participants to be from the camera for optimal RightSight performance?
The recommended distance depends on the camera mode selected on the Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini or Rally Bar Huddle. Fast framing and speaker detection work best in rooms in which participants are within 5 meters.

Why can’t I enable Grid View in MTRoW?
Enabling Grid View in an MTRoW room requires the latest version of Sync App (minimum version 2.5.293). If you still cannot enable Grid View, it may help to reset your device.
Why is the camera image quality different between Grid View and Speaker View?
Grid View uses digital zoom to create video streams of individual meeting participants. In comparison, Speaker View leverages the optical zoom capabilities of Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini to frame the active speaker(s).
Why am I seeing fewer than five streams?
If you are a Zoom Rooms customer, make sure that ZDM settings have been modified to allow five streams. Make sure there are at least four participants in the room; Grid View assigns a minimum of one person per stream.
If you have modified your settings and have four people in the room, you may be seeing fewer streams due to Grid View’s grouping capability. On screen, Grid View groups meeting participants who are close to each other to avoid showing duplicates of them in multiple streams. To see more streams, participants can sit further apart.

Why does the camera not zoom all the way into the active speaker?
RightSight 2 uses data from both computer vision and direction of audio to determine the active speaker. The following conditions may impact the zoom range while in Speaker View:
Active speakers sitting at the edges of the camera’s field of view
Acoustic properties of the meeting room, such as high reverb
Glass panels in the meeting room
Distance of the active speaker from the camera
Multiple speakers sitting next to each other
