End of Support Policy for CollabOS Devices
Overview
At Logitech, we see extending a product’s lifespan as part of our commitment to sustainability—helping you keep your devices in use for longer. Through ongoing CollabOS software updates, we unlock entirely new experiences and feature sets, improve performance, and enhance the security of our devices. In addition to these updates, all CollabOS devices come with a 2-year standard hardware warranty, with the option to extend up to 3 more years (for a total of 5 years) through Logitech Extended Warranty and Logitech Select.
Still, we recognize that all hardware products eventually reach their end, and when that happens, we’ll make sure you’re informed and ready for what’s next.
Here, we outline our software support policy for Logitech CollabOS products, which include Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, Rally Bar Huddle, Rally Board 65, RoomMate, MeetUp 2, Tap IP, Tap Scheduler, Logi Dock Flex, and Sight.
Let’s start with these definitions:
End of Sale Notice (EOSN): A published notice that provides the estimated date a product will no longer be available for purchase through Logitech and its partners.
End of Sale: The expected date on which Logitech will no longer offer a product for purchase.
End of Support: The date on which Logitech will discontinue all technical support, security patches, and updates for a product or, in certain cases, for a specific version of a product.
End of Sale Notice
Typically, an EOSN for a product (see examples) will be issued at least 6 months before that product reaches End of Sale. The EOSN will include guidance on how long we expect the product to remain available for purchase, which may extend beyond the 6-month notice period.
In rare cases, unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from meeting this timeline. If that happens, we will communicate the EOSN as soon as possible.
End of Support Timeline
The End of Support timeline will begin when the End of Sale Notice is published. Once the timeline begins, support for the product will follow the plan below.
Years 1 and 2:
During the first two years, we will continue to make reasonable efforts to add new features and address bugs to keep your CollabOS product performing as designed.Year 3:
During the third year, we will continue to support all devices, regardless of service tier, by making commercially reasonable efforts to address critical bugs and security patches.Years 4 and 5:
During the fourth and fifth years, devices with an active 5-year Logitech Select service plan will continue to receive critical bug fixes and security patches for the remaining period of their Select service term, based on commercially reasonable efforts. However, software support will end at the published end-of-support timeline, even if the Select service term continues past that point.
Partner-Supported Applications and Services
Logitech CollabOS devices work with partner applications such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom Workspace, Google Meet, and many others. Some features and fixes depend on support from these partners, and their lifecycle policies may take precedence. If a partner’s policy limits how we can support a Logitech device, we’ll work to explore other reasonable options to maintain compatibility for as long as reasonable.
