Real-Time Device and Sensor Events

As an AV/UC Engineer, I want to subscribe to selected real-time events for managed devices and their associated sensors, so that my applications can respond immediately to state changes without repeatedly polling Logitech APIs.

Events should include changes such as:

• Device online/offline

• Peripheral connected/disconnected

• Occupancy changes

• Device setting changes

• Sensor state changes

Customers should be able to select which event types they receive and configure the webhook destination through both the Logitech Sync API and the CollabOS Device API.

Business Value

Real-time events would help Logitech customers build more responsive monitoring, automation, and support workflows. Customers could detect device problems sooner, automate remediation, improve room and workspace awareness, and reduce time spent polling APIs for changes.

This capability would also reduce unnecessary API traffic and infrastructure costs for both Logitech and its customers. It would make Logitech devices easier to integrate with enterprise monitoring, IT service-management (ITSM), analytics, and workplace-management platforms—strengthening the value of the Logitech ecosystem.
