How can I get haptics support from Windows? If you have a personal computer at home, you can download the latest firmware on that computer using Options+, and when you return to your work computer, you will have haptics from Windows, as long as that computer is running the latest version of Windows (Windows 11 update from end of March 2026 onwards). MX Master 4 Firmware Release Notes Haptics Customizations Can haptics intensity be set to different levels? Yes. For those haptics received from Windows, you can go to Windows OS settings and configure the Signal intensity. For those haptics configured on Options+ you can configure the Haptic Intensity from Haptic feedback settings on Options+. I’m seeing settings about Windows Haptics in Options+, but I do not have haptics support in my Windows settings. Why is that? You need to be using the latest version of the Windows operating system (Windows 11 update from end of March 2026 onwards) that supports haptics to receive haptic signals. Please ensure you’re on the version of Windows that supports Haptic Signals. Can haptic feedback be turned off? Yes. To turn off haptic feedback from your MX Master 4 for Business altogether, you need to disable haptic feedback from Options+. We have carefully selected the materials on your mouse to be stain-resistant and easy to clean. However bright colors are more likely to get dirty over normal use. We recommend the following practices to keep your mouse clean for a longer time: Clean your mouse weekly to avoid getting stains that are hard to remove (see the link below for cleaning instructions). Avoid eating snacks with high pigment or grease concentrations while using your mouse (fruits, chips, snacks, sweets). Avoid touching your face while using your mouse. This will prevent substance transfer to your device (oil, make up, creams, lotions, perfumes, and so on). Avoid using lotions on your hands while using your mouse. We recommend that you clean your Logitech device on a regular basis, either daily, weekly or monthly, especially if you have a light colored device. Before You Clean If your device is cabled, please unplug your device from your computer first. If your device has user-replaceable batteries, please remove the batteries. Be sure to switch off your device and then wait 5-10 seconds before starting to clean. Don’t put cleaning liquids directly on your device. For devices that are not waterproof, please keep moisture to a minimum and avoid any liquid dripping or seeping into the device When using cleaning sprays, spray the cloth and wipe — do not spray the device directly. Detailed Setup 1. Make sure the mouse is turned-on The number 1 LED under the mouse should be blinking fast. NOTE: If the LED is not blinking fast, do a long press of 3 seconds. 2. Choose how you want to connect: Use the included LOGI BOLT wireless receiver Plug the receiver into a USB port on your computer Connect directly via Bluetooth Open the Bluetooth settings on your computer to complete the pairing. Install Logi Tune Software Logi Tune makes it simple to customize mouse buttons for both common tasks and specific applications, fine-tune scrolling speed, and check battery life. Learn more and download Logi Tune here. Pair To A Second Computer With Easy-Switch Your mouse can be paired with up to three different computers using the easy-switch button to change the channel. 1. A short press on the Easy-Switch button will allow you to switch channels. Select the channel you want and go to the next step. 2. Press and hold the Easy-Switch button for 3 seconds. This will put the mouse in discoverable mode so that it can be seen by your computer. The LED will start blinking fast. 3. Choose between two ways to connect your keyboard to your computer: 3a. Bluetooth: Open the Bluetooth settings on your computer to complete the pairing. More details here. 3b. USB receiver: Plug the receiver to a USB port, open Logitech Options+, and select: Add devices > Setup Logi Bolt device, and follow the instructions. Enabling this option will allow you to work faster and more precisely, allowing you to adjust the pointer speed to match high resolution monitors. App-Specific Settings Your mouse buttons can be assigned to perform different functions for different applications. For instance, you can assign the thumb wheel to do horizontal scrolling in Microsoft Excel and zoom in Microsoft PowerPoint. When installing Logi Tune , you can customize mouse buttons for specific applications. By selecting the “Button customization” option, you can assign specific functions to the buttons on your mouse. Simply choose the button you want to customize and select the action you wish to assign. Once assigned, the button will perform the selected action. Battery RECHARGE MX Master 4 Connect one end of the provided charging cable to the USB-C port on the mouse and the other end to a USB power source. A minimum of 3 minutes charging gives you enough power for a full day of use. The following guide covers frequently asked questions pertaining to the ‘copy settings’ feature: What is the ‘copy settings’ feature? The copy settings feature gives you the ability to copy all your settings from MX Master 3 or MX Master 3s to MX Master 4. This allows you to quickly use your new mouse with the settings you are already comfortable with on your previous mouse. How do I use the ‘copy settings’ feature? Once you connect the MX Master 4 mouse for the first time in Logi Options+, click on the device image. You can copy all your settings to your new MX Master 4 in the “Choose the device you want to copy settings from” pop-up menu. You can choose to skip and return to this feature later. Am I able to copy all my settings with the ‘copy settings’ feature? Yes, all settings from your MX Master 3/3s mouse will be copied over. Once the settings are copied over, you will get a confirmation message. Can I skip the ‘copy settings’ feature and come back to it later? Yes, you can skip the copy settings feature. The following guide covers frequently asked questions pertaining to the Background Device Firmware Update feature: What is the Background Device Firmware update feature and what does it do? Background Device Firmware Update (DFU) ensures your device installs the latest necessary firmware and security updates in the “DO NOT DISTURB” mode without interrupting your workflow. These updates protect your device from any known vulnerabilities and threats. How does the Background DFU work? Background DFU (Device Firmware update) is meant to provide updates to your device without interrupting your workflow. As a MX Master 4 user, when you are in Options+ homepage and a device firmware update is happening in the background, you will still see a progress indicator with a message “Device update in progress”. You will be able to use the mouse while DFU is in progress. Once the device update is complete, you will see the message “Device Updated”. If an unforeseen error occurs, you will have the option to retry the update in which case, the DFU switches to manual mode which will require your intervention. Can I turn off Background DFU when it's running? No, you won’t be able to turn off Background DFU as it is important for updates to not be interrupted.
