Rally System Display Resolution and Configuration Information
Below you will find information on configuring your Rally system display settings and correct connection of HDMI ports and cables, as well as assistance with any adapters used.
Resolution Requirements
Single Display
Rally supports one display up to 4K, 30fps (YCbCr 4:2:0). When using just one display, connect the Room PC HDMI port to the HDMI 1 port on the Table Hub.
Dual Display
In a dual display setup, HDMI 1 can support up to 1080, 60fps and HDMI 2 can support up to 1080, 30fps (which is then upscaled to 1080, 60fps). The HDMI signals are a straight pass-through carried between the Table Hub and Display Hub.
Note: If a single display is connected and running in 4K resolution on HDMI 1, then HDMI 2 is disabled. To enable HDMI 2 for the second screen, the computer connected to HDMI 1 must be set at 1080, 60fps or lower resolution.
Room PC Resolution Configuration
In Windows, there are two locations where the display resolution needs to be checked or set. Please make sure the resolution is set in both Display settings and Advanced Display Settings as follows:
Go to Settings and select System, then Display.
Set the resolution for your display(s).
Single Display: 1920x1080 or 3840 x 2160 (4K)
Dual Display : 1920x1080
Click on Advanced Display Settings.
Make sure the “Active signal resolution” is also set to the same resolution.
If not, then click on Display adapter properties for “Display.”
Click on List All Modes and select an appropriate resolution mode that has a refresh frequency which is supported by your display.
The Active signal resolution should now show 1920x1080 (or 4K). If not, try a different resolution mode under “List All Modes.”
Adapter Troubleshooting
Some USB-C to HDMI and Thunderbolt to HDMI adapters may be incompatible with certain display monitors. If you encounter difficulties when connected to the Rally Display or Table Hub using one of these adapters, first test the compatibility of the adapter. Logitech does not officially support third-party HDMI adapters, but the following steps can be helpful when using them in your Rally system setup.
First, bypass the Rally Table Hub and directly connect from the adapter to the HDMI port of the display. If the issue persists, then the adapter is incompatible with the display, and a replacement should be tried.
If the direct connection works, but the issue arises only when connected via the Rally Table Hub, try the following steps:
Ensure all cables are securely connected.
Check the resolution of the computer and verify that it is set to no higher than 4K at 30 frames per second, or for safety, try setting it to 1080p at 60fps or lower.
Disconnect and reconnect power to both the Table Hub and the Display Hub while the computer is connected to the HDMI port via the adapter.
