Why does Sync Portal not show my CollabOS device when connected to a computer?
Sync Portal will only show one instance of an individual serial number at a time. This is by design. By keeping the CollabOS instance, the device does not need to be reprovisioned in Sync Portal. As of Sync v.2.5.293 you will receive the message, "This device is already provisioned in appliance mode. It will not show as associated with this room in Sync portal. Factory reset your device to use it as a USB device."
If you connect a CollabOS device, a Rally Bar for example, in Appliance mode to Sync Portal and then connect the same device to a computer in USB mode logged into the same Sync Portal, the device will not show in Sync Portal as connected to that computer.
If CollabOS device was connected previously in Appliance mode, to show in Sync Portal in Device Mode, device will need to be factory reset.
Note:
This behavior does not affect the performance of the device.
There is no longer an option to remove from Sync Portal in CoS settings.
