How do I disable the built-in Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini microphones when using Mic Pods?
The Speaker Boost feature is designed to increase the volume of the speakers on Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini up to 7 dB, which is approximately twice as loud as the default setting. However, at this high volume level, internal microphones may experience interference, resulting in reduced audio quality.
To avoid this issue, Mic Pods are used as the primary microphone source, and the built-in microphones on Rally Bar and Rally Bar mini will be disabled when Speaker Boost is enabled.
It is important to note that Speaker Boost will only function when one or more Mic Pods are connected. If no Mic Pods are connected, even if the feature is activated in CollabOS, Speaker Boost will not work.
Note: For rooms using an external Mic Pod, or multiple Mic Pods in larger rooms, we recommend enabling Speaker Boost for the best audio experience.
Speaker Boost is only available on CollabOS 1.3 and higher.
To enable this feature in Appliance mode:
Open the on-device Settings App
Select Display & Audio
Select Audio
Toggle Speaker Boost to Enable
To enable this feature through Sync Portal:
Select your Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini
Select Audio
Toggle Speaker Boost to Enable
