In addition, we also provide over-the-air updates for customers who allow them, and Windows Update, Microsoft’s tool for automatically updating the Windows operating system, will also provide firmware updates if Windows Update is turned on. NOTE: Before you run the upgrade, make sure the camera driver has been completely installed and isn't in use by other applications. • Logitech Rally Camera Streamline Kit Setup Guide

Getting Started ⚠ ATTENTION: When mounting Rally Camera Streamline Kit to a wall or inverted mount, please make sure the power is disconnected from the Control Side Box while connecting the camera with the attached base to the category cable. Failure to do so may result in permanent damage to Rally Camera. Table of Contents Connecting Rally Camera to the Camera Side Base NOTE: If you have purchased the Rally Camera Extension Kit to use with an existing Rally Camera or purchased one separately, you will need to remove the rubber plug from the bottom of your Rally Camera before connecting the Camera Side Base. Place the Camera Side Base on a flat surface and connect the internal USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the bottom of Rally Camera Press the cable into the routing channel, ensuring the pegs are properly aligned, and attach the Rally Camera to the base Hold both components together and flip the unit over Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the ¼-20 screw, securing the base to the camera. Note: If you intend to mount to a tripod, please insert the ⅝-27 to ¼-20 included adapter after securing the base to the camera. Mounting Rally Camera Streamline Kit You have two mounting choices for Rally Streamline Kit: Wall mount (this mounting method applies to mounting the camera to a 2-Gang box or directly to a wall surface) To install the Wall Mount - attach the Twist-to-Lock Mount Plate to the base using the four provided M4 screws, these should be inserted from the Twist-to-Lock Mount Plate Side. Make sure the camera icon and arrow on the Twist-to-Lock Mount Plate face the desired direction Secure the mount to the wall with the included hardware or four #6-32 - 1/34” removable screw anchors Connect a Cat5e (or better) cable to the camera’s RJ45 port. Align the camera base arrow with the mount plate arrow and rotate counterclockwise to lock. Cover the mount plate with the magnetic cover, then connect power to the Control Side Box. NTP drop-down pole To install the 1.5in NPT Adapter, secure it to your 1.5in NPT drop-down pole, and insert the set screw to secure the NPT adapter plate in place. Attach the Twist-to-Lock Mount Plate to the adapter with the provided M4 screws, these should be inserted from the Twist-to-Lock Mount Plate side. Make sure the camera icon and arrow on the Twist-to-Lock Mount Plate face the desired direction. Connect a Cat5e (or better) cable to the camera’s RJ45 port. Align the camera base arrow with the mount plate arrow, and rotate counterclockwise to lock the camera in place. Connecting to the Control Side Box Connect a Cat5e (or better) cable to the RJ45 connector on the bottom of the Camera Side Base. On the Control Side Box, remove the cable clamp bar by loosening the thumbscrews. Attach the other end of the cable to the RJ45 connector on the Control Side Box, then connect the power and USB-C cable to their respective ports. Reattach and tighten the thumbscrews on the cable clamp bar continuing to ensure cables are seated in the clamp's channels. Connect the USB-C cable to a computer or laptop. When the Control Side Box is powered and connected, a green LED will flash on the front of the Control Side Box and the back of the Camera Side Base. Preset Button Setup Pairing the Preset Buttons to Rally Camera Preparation Remove the battery pull tabs on each of your Preset Buttons and make sure the switch on the back of the button is in the unlock position. Ensure Rally Camera is on and connected to a computer before you continue. There are two ways to activate pairing mode on your Rally Camera: Using the remote Press the following button sequence (within 8 seconds after starting): Home, Zoom Out, Zoom Out, Zoom In, Zoom Out, Home If successful, a blue LED on the front of the Rally Camera will begin flashing. Using the button on the back of Rally Camera The second method is to press and hold the button on the back of the Rally Camera for 5 seconds or until the LED on the front flashes blue. Once pairing mode has been activated, release the button. You can now pair the Preset Button. Press the Prest Button for 10 seconds or until seeing the visible indicator that pairing has completed. Pairing is complete when the button LED flashes blue and Rally Camera led stops flashing. Repeat these steps until all Preset Buttons are paired to the Rally Camera NOTE: The Preset Button LED may turn white or flash yellow during the pairing process. Please ignore this and continue to press and hold the button for 10 seconds (or until pairing is completed). NOTE: If the button is not mounted, or the button mount is not attached, you may need to press the button by squeezing it, with your fingers on the back of the button and thumb pressing the front to fully engage the button. How to Set Up and Save Presets Unlock the switch on the back of the button. With the camera mounted and the Control Side Box powered on and connected, open a camera app, video conferencing software, or Logitech Sync to connect to the Rally Camera. Use the Remote Control to pan, tilt, and zoom to the desired scene. Hold the Preset Button for 3 seconds until the LED flashes white. Release the button when the LED flashes white to avoid entering pairing mode. Lock the switch on the back of the button to prevent accidental resets of the preset position. Mounting the Preset Button To enhance user experience, we recommend positioning or mounting the Preset Buttons near the area shown in the saved preset scene. You can mount the mounting plates using the included screws or with small adhesive strips (not included). After securing the mounting plate, align the button and rotate it clockwise to lock it in place. Press the button to confirm the LED lights up and the preset position is correctly recalled. NOTE: We recommend using small adhesive strips with a maximum size of 46 x 16 x 16 mm (1.8” x 0.63” x 0.63”).

  • Rally Camera Presets Guide

Below you will find information regarding camera presets for Rally Camera and Rally Plus. For information regarding camera presets when using the Rally Camera Streamline Kit, please refer to Streamline Kit: Preset Button Support. How do I set a camera preset? You can set up to 2 preset positions. Once in the desired position, save a preset by pressing and holding the button for 3 seconds. Return to the desired position at any time by pressing the button once. Where Presets are Stored Zoom Web Portal (Cloud): Administrators can define the Default Camera Control Mode in the Zoom portal under Room Management > Zoom Rooms > Devices. If you enable "Use default preset position," Zoom will instruct the camera to move to a specific saved preset every time a meeting starts. Zoom Room Controller (Local App): Users can create and rename up to three presets directly on the Logitech Tap or Tap IP. These presets are stored as part of the Zoom Room's configuration. To save one, you simply use the camera controls on the Tap to position the camera, then press and hold a preset button to save it. Logitech Hardware (On-Device): You can save two presets directly to the Rally Camera's memory using the physical Logitech remote. Note: While these are stored on the camera, the Zoom Rooms application often overrides hardware-stored positions with its own "Home" or "Default" settings defined in the Zoom portal. Change the default home position for Rally Camera / Rally Plus Using the included remote that came with the Rally camera, a new default home position can be set, and two presets can be saved. Home Position - Setting a new default home position will move the camera to this position by default once the camera is powered on. If the camera is adjusted from this position, hitting the Home button on the remote will return the camera to this same position. To set a new default home position: Pan, tilt, and zoom the camera to the preferred position using the remote. Hold the Home button on the remote for approximately 10 seconds, or until an audible tone is heard from the speaker. User Presets - Two preset camera positions can be saved to the remote and hitting the ‘Preset 1’ or ‘Preset 2’ buttons will move the camera accordingly. To save a new preset: Pan, tilt, and zoom the camera to the preferred position using the remote. Hold the button for Preset 1 or Preset 2 on the remote for approximately 3 seconds, or until an audible tone is heard from the speaker. Rally Camera (standalone) Remote Rally System Remote Rally Camera zoomed-in preset When using a preset on Rally Camera, there is a tolerance on the preset position of +/- 2°, which may be noticeable when the camera is fully zoomed in. Rally Plus preset audio levels The default volume level of Rally Plus is managed by the Video Conferencing Application and/or the Operating System running on the connected compute device. Since Rally Plus is a modular peripheral, it follows the volume commands sent by the host device. Here is how to set a default volume based on your setup: Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) on Windows MTR typically resets the volume to a default level (usually 50%) at the start of every meeting or after a reboot. You can modify the SkypeSettings.xml file on the MTR compute to define a custom default volume. Key Setting: <DefaultAudioInVolume>50</DefaultAudioInVolume> and <DefaultAudioOutVolume>50</DefaultAudioOutVolume>. Changing these values allows the room to always start at your preferred level. Zoom Rooms Zoom Rooms allow for a "Default Speaker Volume" to be set via the web portal. Log in to the Zoom Web Portal, navigate to Room Management > Zoom Rooms. Select the room, go to the Edit tab, then Audio. Look for "Default Speaker Volume" and set it to your desired percentage (e.g., 60%). Rally Plus will snap to this level at the start of every session. Logitech Sync (CollabOS / RoomMate) If your Rally Plus is connected to a Logitech RoomMate, you can manage the volume through the Logitech Sync Portal. Note: While Sync doesn't currently have a "Default Startup Volume" toggle, you can use Remote UI in Sync to manually set the volume levels across your fleet without being physically in the room. Windows System Volume (USB Mode/BYOD) If Rally Plus is connected to a standard PC for general use: Windows remembers the last used volume for specific USB devices. If you set Rally Plus to 60%, it should remain there until manually changed. However, third-party "deep freeze" software or group policies may reset this on reboot.
