Essential Service Trial FAQ
Our Essential service includes all of our Sync platform's premium software features and is available to try free for 90 days.
What is Essential?
Essential is our premium software service. We offer two options:
Essential for Rooms:
Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot shared spaces and connected devices with advanced software tools.

Essential trials give access to all paid Essential features listed above.
Note: The Select service plans include all the Essential service features, plus premium support and coverage.
Once purchased (or during a trial) these services enable space management through Logitech's room and desk booking, space insights and alerts, remote access to Logitech devices, and more.

How can I access & activate an Essential trial?
All you need to access the Essential trial is a Logitech Sync portal account set up to monitor and manage your Logitech room and/or desk products. See full details on setting up Sync here.
Two Essential Trial options can be started independently of one another:
Essential Trial for Rooms - A free trial to access Essentials space/room management features.
Essential Trial for Desks - A free trial to access Essentials desk management features.
Unless you already pay for a Select or Essential service or have already used your 90-day trial, you'll see a banner offering a 90-day trial in your Sync portal.
Note: This trial is available only in the Global Sync tenant. If your Sync account URL begins with eu.sync.logitech, fr.sync.logitech, or ca.sync.logitech, the trial is currently not available.
To begin your preferred Essential trial, simply open your Sync tenant, or sign up or as described above, and select the banner for your Essential Trial. After choosing your trial, you will be granted access to the Essential features. There are no licenses to be managed or other steps to take. Most of your features will be available right away, but some (like Sync Insights) may take up to 24 hours to gather the required data.
Note: Only Sync tenant users with the “owner” role may start Essential service trials.
What happens at the end of the trial?
Your trial will end after 90 days. At that time, you can speak with your preferred reseller/salesperson about purchasing Essential or Select service plans. If you would like to request an exception to have your trial extended, please contact your Logitech salesperson.
How do I assign / activate Essential licenses once I purchase them?
Once you purchase service licenses you will receive a confirmation email with your service contract, and a second email containing an activation link (this link will only work for the purchaser it was sent to).
The activation email will lead you to our service portal, where you'll set up your account and assign licenses. For a full walkthrough of the setup process please visit our Services Getting Started section.
Why does Sync still show that I’m in the trial after I purchased licenses?
After a trial is started, Sync will still display your trial being active until its originally planned end date. During this time you will continue to have full Essential features in all your rooms and/or desks. Once the trial is complete, your tenant will then reflect the number of Essential licenses you purchased.
Can I cancel my Essential trial?
Essential trials, once started, can not be cancelled. Essential trials will end automatically after 90 days, and users will not automatically be re-enrolled or need to opt-out.
