Sight Table Installation

For best results, Sight should be installed in the center of the meeting room table, with the logo and two lenses facing away from the screen (as shown below).

It’s important that Sight be kept in this position and camera orientation for optimal performance. Therefore, it’s strongly recommended that the camera is permanently installed in this position to avoid potential issues if users reposition the Sight or reorient the cameras.

There are three options for attaching Sight; the first is installing on a table without a grommet hole. Here, the cables are run across the table and likely down through a cable access compartment on the table. In this case, microsuction pads on the bottom of the Mounting Cup hold Sight in place.

The second option is installing on a table with a grommet hole. In this case, the cables are run through the table, and Sight is mechanically locked in place on the table. To learn more about grommet installations, click here.

The third option is tripod mounting. For example, in some room configurations, it might be useful to have Sight placed between the legs of a U- or V-shaped table. To learn more about tripod installations, click here.

 Without Grommet Hole

The Mounting Cup is pre-installed on the Table Mount.

  1. Route the cables through the Table Mount and Mounting Cup. Connect them to the appropriate RJ45 jacks on the bottom of Sight.

  • (A) Connects to 802.3at Type 2 PoE+ (30W)

  • (B) Optionally connects to a Mic Pod dongle (if used with Rally Mic Pods). In a dual Sight deployment, the 1st Sight device uses this port to connect to the 2nd Sight device.

  • (C) Connects to the Sight host dongle. In a dual Sight deployment, the 2nd Sight device uses this port to connect to the 1st Sight device.

  1. Insert the Mounting Cup into the base of Sight. Turn clockwise until the Mounting Cup clicks in place.

  1. Press the cables into the purple cable slots on the bottom of the Table Mount.

    • You have the option of running all cables out of one side:

  • Or running one cable out of one side, and the others out of the other side:

  1. Remove the film covering the microsuction pads. Clean the table where Sight will attach.

    • The Table Mount uses microsuction pads to attach to the table. The microsuction pad has numerous small concave features which, when pressed onto a table, create a vacuum effect to hold Logitech Sight in place. The seal can be broken by pulling or prying the base from the table. Microsuction can be used repeatedly without losing its holding power. If you notice a reduction in holding power, use a damp cloth to wipe any dust or debris from the pad. The microsuction pad is not recommended for curved or highly porous surfaces.

  2. Align the Mounting Cup/Table Mount assembly so that the purple cable guides on the base point towards the screen and the head of the table, with the Sight lenses facing away from the front-of-room display(s).

  3. Press in place on the table.  If Sight needs to be repositioned, remove from the table in a prying motion and reapply.

  4. Included are two cable clips that can be used to help tidy the cabling on the table. The clip holds two cables; if three cables are run, alternate the two clips to secure two of the three cables with each clip, thereby holding them all in place. The clips also have microsuction pads to hold them in place on the table.

  5. Connect the cable from the Sight (A) port to the 802.3at Type 2 PoE+ (30W) power supply (user supplied).

  6. (Optional) connect the cable from the Sight (B) to a Mic Pod dongle, if this Sight is used with Rally Mic Pod or Rally Mic Pod Hub. In a dual Sight deployment, the 1st Sight device uses this port to connect to the 2nd Sight device.

  7. Connect the cable from the Sight (C) port to the Sight host dongle. In a dual Sight deployment, the 2nd Sight device uses this port to connect to the 1st Sight device.
