Is wireless content sharing supported by SmartDock?

Microsoft Teams Rooms doesn’t  support wireless content sharing natively. Logitech SmartDock does support connections to wireless HDMI sharing solutions such as Barco. More information is available here: Barco.

Can I connect my SmartDock to an interactive screen?

Yes SmartDock can be connected over HDMI as display, however the Skype Room System does not support touch display. All navigation and control of the call are happening on the touch interface on the SmartDock.

Does SmartDock support CEC for attached displays?

Logitech SmartDock with Microsoft Surface Pro does not support CEC. It is recommended to use commercial displays with power management capabilities such as schedule on/off times.

Which screen configurations are supported by SmartDock?

SmartDock can be used with one or two external displays or projectors. With one display, both video call and content shared to the meeting will be displayed on the same screen.  With two displays, you will need to enter SRS/MTR client settings and Enable Dual Monitor Mode. Then the video call will be displayed on one screen, while the shared content will appear on the other. In SRS/MTR client settings, you can also Swap Screens to change which displays the call and which displays shared content.

What options do we have for sharing content with meeting attendees?

When creating the meeting invite, you can attach PowerPoint presentations to the meeting invite. This content is available on the SRS/MTR device to share in the meeting without plugging your computer to HDMI In port. Currently, PowerPoint files support this approach. If you would like to share other types of files, you only need to connect your computer via HDMI IN once you’re in the meeting and all participants can view it.
