How do I clean and maintain my headset?

Before you clean your device

Review these precautions to avoid damaging your headset:

Note: For leatherette earpads, it is recommended to use disinfecting wipes, anti-bacterial wet wipes, or makeup removal tissue. Alcohol wipes can be used on a limited basis.

• Do not wash ear pads in a washing machine.

• Do not dry ear pads in a tumble dryer.

• Do not apply cleaning liquids directly to the ear pads and headband.

• Do not use bleach, acetone/nail polish remover, strong solvents, or abrasives, as these may affect the fabric surface or cause discoloration.

Wiping and cleaning your headset

Follow these steps for cleaning the headband, mic boom, and other components (excluding ear pads):

1. Use fragrance-free disinfecting wipes, anti-bacterial wet wipes, makeup removing tissue, or alcohol swabs with less than 75% concentration.

2. For heavier stains, use a small amount of soap on a lightly moistened, clean, soft cloth and gently rub the stained areas.

3. Rinse the surface thoroughly using the same moistened cloth. Repeat until all traces of soap are gone.

4. Wipe the area with a dry tissue or cloth and let it dry at room temperature.

We encourage you to properly sanitize your products in accordance with guidelines provided by the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control.
