Logitech Serial Number Guidance
Logitech's business products feature serial numbers on most individual components and the box they come in. Here's what you need to know about where to find these serial numbers and what they mean:
Box serial numbers and device serial numbers
Serial numbers from the device packaging end in '9', while the serial number on a device itself ends in '8'.
On many Logitech products, the other characters in the serial number may not match. While this may appear as if there is a mismatch between the device and the packaging it came in, this is expected. The different serials are due to various factors (such as traceability), but this does not affect your warranty or device status in any way.
When filing a warranty claim, the '8' serial number from the device is preferred so we can track failures down to a component level, but we can also validate warranty with the '9' serial from the box.
