1.5 Group Provisioning Codes

Group Provisioning Codes provide a more streamlined way to provision multiple devices to Sync without needing individual codes for each room or desk. These codes can be used with Sync app or network-connected CollabOS devices. They are valid for 30 days and can be used multiple times during this period.

You can find your group provisioning codes within Sync in two places. First, directly from the inventory group menu, as shown below:

You can also locate the group provisioning code on the device settings page, as shown below.

When you use a Group Provisioning Code, new devices will automatically create a new room or desk in the group from which you retrieved the code. If the specified group contains subgroups, your new rooms or desks will be placed in the 'unassigned' group. See example below:

If you use the same Group Provisioning Code on multiple devices, each device will be added to Sync in its own individual room. For instance, if you use a group provisioning code to a Rally Bar and Tap IP located in the same room, Sync will create two new rooms. Room 1 will contain the Rally Bar and Room 2 will contain the Tap IP. However, you can easily move the Tap IP from Room 2 to Room 1 using the 'Move Device' option on the device page, as shown below.

After you’ve selected to move a device, you will be prompted to either keep or discard the empty room.

Harness the simplicity and efficiency of Group Provisioning Codes to seamlessly integrate multiple devices into Sync, ensuring a cohesive and organized digital workspace with minimal effort.
