2.6 Meeting Rooms - Mute Rooms
The room muting feature helps you manage your organization's meeting spaces more efficiently. You can easily mute a room in the Sync Portal when it's under construction, temporarily offline, or being repurposed - either indefinitely or for a set period. Muted rooms wonât appear in your organizationâs status or issue dashboards, and all alerts (email and ServiceNow) are paused. This ensures you maintain a clear and accurate view of only your active meeting rooms.
Mute one room
You can mute a single room several ways:
From the rooms list
From an individual room levelÂ
From the newly added icon on the room row hover actions
Mute multiple rooms
You can mute multiple rooms from the rooms view
Selecting a time frame
You can choose how long to mute your rooms. Set it indefinitely with no end time, until tomorrow, through the weekend, or for the following week. You can also set a custom time period to match your needs.

Or select a specific day and time
Modifying the dates
If you need to make changes to a muted room, select the room from the room list, then click the icon in the top banner.

Modify your dates and times
You can modify multiple rooms by selecting those rooms, selecting âMute roomsâ and making your modifications from the dialog box
Unmuting a room
There are several ways you can unmute a room or rooms.Â
Unmute a room from the room list by selecting the icon in the banner and selecting unmute in the dialog box at the room level.
Unmute a room from the room level by selecting the 3-dot menu and selecting âUnmute roomsâ
Unmute a few rooms by selecting those rooms and selecting âUnmuteâ from the dialog box
