Adding Custom Backgrounds for Logitech Room Booking
This article explains how to add and manage custom backgrounds on Tap Scheduler for Logitech Room Booking.
Prerequisites
To follow this guide, you'll need at least one room set up in Sync and be logged in as an administrator with Admin privileges. For more information, see the Sync Admin Guide.
You'll also need Logitech Room Booking enabled and set up on the Tap Scheduler where you want to add a custom background. For details on setting up Logitech Room Booking, see Getting Started with Room Booking.
Adding a Custom Background
You can add custom backgrounds to Tap Schedulers running Logitech Room Booking at either the group level or for individual rooms. This flexibility allows you to quickly deploy backgrounds to many devices or customize them for each room.
Group Level
Log in to Sync with your admin account and navigate to Meeting rooms > Settings from the left side menu.
In Settings, select the group where you want to apply a custom background from the left side hierarchy.
With your group selected, click "Room Booking settings" at the top of the page.
In "Room Booking settings," scroll to the bottom to find the custom background settings section. Click "Choose image."
A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to upload an image for your custom background. If you've already uploaded images, you can select from those.
After uploading or selecting an image, choose how you want the custom background displayed and preview its appearance.
There are three options for displaying background images:Default: The default background that just shows status with no image.
Overlay: The room status is overlaid on top of the image with some opacity.
Border: The image is shown with a border that indicates the room's status.
7. Once you've uploaded your background and selected a style, it will appear on Tap Schedulers outside your rooms.
Room Level
To apply custom backgrounds to individual rooms, log into Sync as an admin and navigate to Meeting rooms > Inventory.
Select the room where you want to add a custom background. In the room settings, click "System" under the Tap Scheduler assigned to the room.
Expand the custom background option for your Tap Scheduler.
Note: If you don't see this dropdown, ensure that your Tap Scheduler has Logitech Room Booking set as the provider.From the "Custom Background" dropdown, click "Choose image."
