How do I update Tap firmware?

There are multiple ways to update the firmware of your Tap Cat5e kit:

Windows Updates

Logitech provides updates via Windows Update, Microsoft’s tool for automatically updating the Windows operating system. When Windows Update is enabled, it will also provide firmware updates for Logitech devices, including the Tap Cat5e kit.

Sync

You can utilize the Logitech Sync for Windows application to manage Tap Cat5e kit firmware updates.

This applies to:

Windows-based PC connected to a Tap Cat5e Kit

Guidance:

Download / open the Logitech Sync app on the host computer connected to Tap (download link).
On the left-hand side, select Tap
Hit the three-dots in the top right corner > Check for updates.
Download and install any available updates.

Sync Portal

With Logitech Sync installed on the PC connected to the Tap Cat5e kit, you can utilize the Sync Portal to remotely update Logitech hardware.

This applies to:

Windows-based PC connected to a Tap Cat5e Kit

Guidance:

In a web browser, navigate to sync.logitech.com
Ensure your Sync Portal is set up and available for device management (Sync Admin Guide)
Select the room with the Tap Cat5e kit you are looking to update
Select Tap
If an update is available, you will see a blue banner stating Update available
Download and install the available update

Direct download

If you prefer a direct download option, you can find the latest Tap firmware version from our Tap downloads page here.

This applies to:

Windows-based room configurations running a Tap w/ Cat5e Kit

Guidance:

Download the latest .EXE file
Ensure your Tap is connected to the host Windows computer
Double-click the downloaded program and allow the firmware update to be applied to Tap

CollabOS

CollabOS devices connected to a Tap Cat5e kit do not currently support updating the Tap firmware. This feature is planned for a future CollabOS release.

Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, Rally Bar Huddle, Rally Board 65, RoomMate, Rally Bar Huddle
