What is the default password for my video conferencing platform account?

The below article covers default passwords for video conferencing accounts. This article applies to:

• Zoom Rooms on Windows

• Zoom Rooms on Android

• Teams Rooms on Windows

• Teams Rooms on Android

Zoom Rooms

Upon first attempt to log into the Zoom Admin account, leave "Old Password" blank and type in a new password of your choice. 

You can log in to the Admin panel on the PC with or without a physical keyboard attached:

• With a keyboard attached:

  • With an attached keyboard, press the Start button five times — this will open the user login page. You can sign in as Administrator.

• Without a keyboard attached:

  1. While signed in, on the Tap, select the Settings icon

  2. Select Windows Settings

  3. Select Zoom Admin

  4. Enter your Password or leave empty if this is the first time logging in

Note: To access Zoom Admin from the Kiosk view your need to either Swipe Up on Tap screen, Click Mouse, or hit Enter on Keyboard

Microsoft Teams Rooms

Windows

The default password for Windows-based room configurations is "sfb".

In case you need to make any changes on-device, you can log in to the Admin panel on the Teams PC by following the guide below:

• With a keyboard attached:

  • With an attached keyboard, press the Start button five times — this will open the user login page. You can sign in as Administrator (default password: sfb).

• Without a keyboard attached:

  1. When signed into SRS, click the gear icon located in the bottom right-hand corner next to the volume icon.

  2. Select Settings, the first option in the list.
     The User Account Control dialog box will appear.

  3. Enter the Administrator password (default: sfb).

  4. In the Setup menu select Windows Settings and then Go to Admin Sign-in.

Android

For Android-based room configurations, there is no default password; You will be prompted to create your own password during the first attempt at System Settings access. If your resource account already has a pin set in your Teams Admin Center, this will automatically be applied as your "default" password.

Note: This password can be changed from its default state. In cases where this password was changed and the default needs to be recovered, a factory reset of the host device may be required. If a pin is set from the Teams Admin Center for your device account, this will also apply to the Android devices password, changing it from it's default state.
