How to Enable Intelligent Camera with People Recognition on Rally Bar/Rally Bar Mini for Microsoft Teams on Windows (Beta)
Overview
People Recognition enhances hybrid Teams meetings by automatically identifying and labeling in-room participants, highlighting active speakers, and providing live transcription with speaker recognition. Names appear directly on video feeds and in the call roster, helping both in-room and remote attendees follow the conversation accurately and creating a more inclusive meeting experience. This feature enhances Multi-Stream IntelliFrame, enabling name labels on individual video streams for participants who have enrolled their facial profile through Teams.Â
Features
Name Labels on In-Room Participants
Displays participant names directly on video feeds in real time for everyone physically in the room, making it easy for remote attendees to know whoâs speaking.
In-Room Participants Listed in the Call Roster
Adds recognized participants as individual entries in the meeting roster, mirroring remote attendee listings and making it easier to track who is present in the room.
Live Transcription with Speaker Recognition
Generates real-time transcripts during meetings and attributes each statement to the appropriate in-room speaker using voice profiles and speech recognition, ensuring conversations are easy to follow even in large or hybrid sessions.

Teams Rooms should be ready to use once the device has rebooted.Â
Ensure Rally Bar/Rally Bar Mini is the selected camera.Â
Open camera settings and make sure that Enhanced framing and People Recognition is enabled.
Important: People recognition requires the Teams Rooms account to be enrolled in the Microsoft Teams Ring 1.5
Prepare your organization by enabling Face enrollment and People recognition.Â
This step involves the configuration of Teams Rooms and user accounts. You must enable face and voice enrollment via PowerShell policies and Teams settings, so that a certified Multi-Stream IntelliFrame camera can recognize participants and then stream individual video feeds labeled with names alongside a panoramic view.
Complete all steps in Microsoft's guide, Enabling enrollment option and people recognition.
Each user who wants to be recognized in a meeting must self-enroll for face and voice recognition.Â
This is required to allow Teams to display participant names accurately during meetings.
In the Teams Desktop application, go to settings
Click on Recognition
Click on Create voice and face recognition profile and complete the guide.
Intelligent Camera with People Recognition should now be enabled and you will see name labels on all participants with face and voice profiles.
The screenshot above shows how room participants are recognized and labeled with their names.
