Logitech webcams' mics must be automatically recognized by your system and made available in your video conferencing application.
Audio quality can be impacted by several factors including network performance, system and application issues, or the device itself. To ensure that your camera mic(s) is working properly, please follow these steps:
Ensure the volume level is optimal; adjusting it in both, your operating system and the video conference software you’re using may fix the issue.
Make sure that your webcam is selected as the output and input device (mic and speakerphone) in the video conferencing software.
Verify that the correct driver is listed in Device Manager under Audio inputs and outputs and Sound, video and game controllers section.
Verify that the network isn’t the cause of the audio quality issues.
Try another video conferencing application. Most applications have a test mode where you can check your audio.
Try recording audio through your headset and verify if the speaker sounds right. You can use a recording application like Sound Recorder (Windows 11) or Voice Memos (Mac) to check the audio quality of the microphone.
If your issue persists, try following the collaboration webcams basic troubleshooting guide.
Some additional advanced steps:
You can try adjusting the mic gain volume lower or higher by following these steps:
For Windows:
Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray (bottom right), and select Sounds.
Once opened, click Recording, right-click on the headset name > Microphone and select Properties > Levels.
Lastly, adjust the Mic array slider higher and lower to reset the gain.
For macOS:
Click the Apple logo at the top left corner, then click System preferences.
Click Sound, then select the Input tab.
Slide the Input or Output Volume slider higher or lower to reset the gain.
Enable/disable processing: Sometimes the audio processing in the video conferencing software can interfere with speakerphone performance. If your video conferencing application allows you to enable/disable audio processing, take this step to evaluate if it makes a difference.
