Multiple Touch Display Support
Three Displays Configuration
1. Swapping primary and secondary displays
Swapping displays allows you to set which HDMI port is primary and secondary. This is particularly useful with service providers that do not let you configure displays, but you want to swap which HDMI port shows the primary source content.
Prerequisite:
Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, and RoomMate in appliance mode using CollabOS 1.12+.
Note: if your service provider supports display configuration, we recommend using their admin portal to configure displays.
In CollabOS device settings, select Display and Audio.
In the Display menu, select HDMI 1, select Video output and choose either Primary or Secondary as the source. The device will confirm your selection and require a device restart.
2. Multiple Touch Display Support
Multiple touch display support enables admins to 1) Connect two touch displays to a supported CollabOS device, or 2) Connect one touch display while connected to a Tap Cat5e Kit (previously, Tap IP was required). The device must be in appliance mode and provisioned to a service provider that offers a touch-display experience.
Note: Currently, only Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android supports two touch displays.
Prerequisite:
Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, RoomMate in appliance mode using CollabOS 1.12+
Two touch displays that extend the touch interface via a USB, for more information on connecting displays can be found here.
How to configure touch support
If two touch displays are connected, you first need to associate the touch interface from each USB connection to the appropriate HDMI output.
In CollabOS device settings, select Display and Audio, and select Touch input.
If your configuration includes a Tap with Cat5e kit, you will first need to touch Tap’s display as instructed.
Depending on if you have 1 or 2 touch displays, you will need to configure each display by touching the purple screen area on the display when it is shown. This process associates touch inputs with the corresponding HDMI port.
Touch the purple area on display that shows the following screen for HDMI 1.
Touch the blue area on display that shows the following screen for HDMI 2.
The Tap will now show that the configuration is complete
3. Three Displays Configuration
CollabOS devices running version 1.8.711 or higher support the use of up to three displays with select service providers. With three displays, you can enhance your meeting experience by allowing you to display and view more content simultaneously. To utilize this feature, connect a USB-to-Display Adapter to your Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, or RoomMate device.
Prerequisite
Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, or RoomMate running version 1.8.711 or higher.
