3.7 Display Settings

Swapping primary and secondary displays
Swapping displays allows you to set which HDMI port is primary and secondary. This is particularly useful with service providers that do not let you configure displays, but you want to swap which HDMI port shows the primary source content.
Prerequisite:
Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, and RoomMate in appliance mode using CollabOS 1.12+.
Note: if your service provider supports display configuration, we recommend using their admin portal to configure displays.
In CollabOS device settings, select Display and Audio.
In the Display menu, select HDMI 1, select Video output and choose either Primary or Secondary as the source. The device will confirm your selection and require a device restart.
Note: In Dual Display Mode, your service provider dictates how HDMI Ingest content is displayed across your screens.
Multiple Touch Display Support
Multiple touch display support enables a CollabOS device to use either:
Two touch displays
Currently, only Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android supports two "front of room" touch displays.
One touch display and a Tap Cat5e kit
The device must be in appliance mode and provisioned to a service provider that offers a touch-display experience.
Prerequisite:
Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, RoomMate in appliance mode using CollabOS 1.12+
Two touch displays with USB-based touch interface, or one touch display and a Tap Cat5e kit.
How to configure multiple touch display support
If two touch displays are connected, you must associate the touch interface from each USB connection to the appropriate HDMI output.
In CollabOS device settings, select Display and Audio, and select Touch input.
If your configuration includes a Tap with Cat5e kit, you will first need to touch Tap’s display as instructed.
Depending on if you have 1 or 2 touch displays, you will need to configure each display by touching the purple screen area on the display when it is shown. This process associates touch inputs with the corresponding HDMI port.
Touch the purple area on display that shows the following screen for HDMI 1.
Touch the blue area on display that shows the following screen for HDMI 2.
The Tap will now show that the configuration is complete
Three Displays Configuration
CollabOS devices running version 1.8.711 or higher support the use of up to three (3) displays with select service providers. With three (3) displays, you can enhance your meeting experience by allowing you to display and view more content simultaneously. To utilize this feature, connect a USB-to-Display Adapter to your Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, or RoomMate device.
Prerequisite
Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, or RoomMate running version 1.8.711 or higher.

Plugable USB 3.0 to HDMI Video Graphics Adapter (UGA-2KHDMI)
Note: HDMI CEC is not supported with the display connected via the USB-to-Display DisplayLink Adapter
Setting up Three Displays
Use HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 to connect Display 1 and Display 2.
Use the USB-to-Display DisplayLink Adapter to connect Display 3.

Note: HDMI CEC is not supported with the display connected via the USB-to-Display DisplayLink Adapter. Therefore, Logitech suggests disabling the Zoom Rooms Device Operation Time feature for meeting rooms using three displays, as the third display will not power off in the same manner as a display connected to the device's built-in HDMI outputs.
Screen Orientation
For devices that support the screen orientation feature, such as Tap Scheduler or Tap IP, you can adjust your device’s display orientation directly within the CollabOS settings. While these devices feature a built-in accelerometer designed to detect and set the orientation automatically, you may also manually lock the screen to a specific direction to accommodate your installation.
How to change the screen orientation
On your CollabOS device, tap the Settings icon.
Note: If the device is already provisioned to a service provider such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom Rooms, you may be prompted to enter an admin password.
From the main menu, select System Settings.
Tap on the Screen and Lights or Screen option.
Select the Orientation menu to view the available display modes.
Select the setting that best fits your physical installation:
Auto: The device will automatically rotate the user interface based on its mounted position. This is the recommended setting for most environments.
Landscape: This sets the device to the standard horizontal view.
Landscape (flipped): This inverts the horizontal view. Use this setting if the device has been mounted upside down to facilitate specific cable routing needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Tap Scheduler be mounted in a portrait orientation?
