How can I provide HDMI ingest to my Logitech Room System?
Logitech Room systems come in at least two flavors: Windows-based room systems and Appliance-based room systems (BYOD is another, but it is not relevant to this discussion).

Windows-Based Room Systems
Windows-based Room systems can be used for Microsoft Teams (MTRoW) or Microsoft Zoom (ZRoW). In either case, the Room consists of a Logitech Tap USB Controller a dedicated Windows-based room compute, and a camera/mic/speaker system that fits the application or room size.
Logitech bundles several room PC models, none of which have an HDMI ingest port on the PC itself. The TAP controller, however, has an HDMI ingest port, making it simple to connect a laptop to share content with the Room system. The TAP controller is typically located on the table but may be located elsewhere.
The Logitech TAP's HDMI ingest port is available in Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms on Windows-based systems.
To allow content sharing, one would need to connect an HDMI cable to the TAP and leave that cable available for an end-user to connect their laptop. (See Below)

Note: The TAP USB controller is typically the correct controller for Logitech Windows-based room systems.
Appliance-Based Room Systems
Appliance-based room systems, at least when Logitech uses this term, are those that do not require a dedicated Windows-based PC.
It is called an appliance because it is an enclosed system running a specialized OS developed by Logitech called CollabOS.
Logitech Collab OS is an operating system for a series of devices specifically developed for video collaboration. These devices run on CollabOS, which is a secure operating system created to enhance video collaboration. The main features of these devices include their compatibility with popular video conferencing and scheduling services, making them ideal for various settings like meeting rooms, huddle spaces, and large boardrooms.
The Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini are all examples of Room Systems that run CollabOS. When used without a Windows-based PC, they are considered appliance-based room systems. The Logitech Roommate is also an appliance-based room system.
Currently, the HDMI Port on the TAP itself is not supported in Appliance mode. However, the Appliance-based Room Systems have an HDMI port located on the main device. The Rally Bars and the Roommate have an HDMI ingest port located on their main chassis.
Note: Currently, Appliance-based room systems cannot use the TAP USB controller's HDMI ingest port. However, the network version of the Logitech controller, TAP IP, is compatible with Appliance-based systems. However, TAP IP does not include an HDMI port. For Appliance-based room systems, HDMI would need to be extended to the table using an appropriately sized cable or a network-based HDMI extender.
