Content shared on dual-displays in offline meetings using Teams on Android (HDMI IN)
First of all, let me address that I know this is a repeated question!.. Somehow I only see this under "Discussions" and not wishlist. It would fantastic if Logitech could address this to the community by simply explaining "why" in 2026 this still isn't a thing? We all know it's (99%) most likely Microsoft Teams on Android App limitiations but there isn't a single Road map item from Microsoft addressing this! I believe my engineers highlighted this during 2024 that there WAS indeed a post regarding this om Microsofts roadmap but it has since then been removed with no traceability.
Now to the essence of it. I hope this time, this request will be a wishlist item and not a discussion! Because we really need this ๐
What is we want?:
For local content presented from a presenters device to be displayed on both displays when outside a call for Microsoft Teams Room on Android running Logitech Appliance mode with TAPCat5e or directly through the HDMI IN port of the bar system.
What is needed:
- Dual Monitors (2x)
- Rally bar/mini or RoomMate (what ever we use for MTRoA)
- HDMI IN source (Cable based transmission via IN port in Bar systems or RoomMate but preferably to work in tandem with installations using Logitech TAP Cat5e (currently in BETA if im not mistaken but works fine at the moment for us! ๐ ))
- MTR Pro License
- Proper MTRoA configuration in Teams Admin Center (Configuration profile --> Dual-display)
With all this prepared from us (the customers), all we ask is that you do your best to by-pass Microsoft "somehow" and implement this through CollabOS if possible. Or atleast share some transparent feedback regarding the status of this question. Its baffeling to me its still being ignored by microsoft and the other discussions here in Sync in 2026... Im not trying to over simplify what may be very complicated but we atleast need an answer so we as customers can decide if we should leave the Android based solution in favor of dual-display locally. This is game-changer for us at our company and would love to bring Logitech on-board this show!
