Tap vs Tap IP for Teams appliance mode

I am just about to kit out our new office with 13 Teams rooms.

There are two existing ethernet cables run from behind the TVs to underneath the meeting room tables, so I would love to reuse those to connect a Logi Tap device to a Rally Bar.

My preferred requirements are:

  • Rally Bar in teams appliance mode

  • Tap / Tap IP on the meeting room table (connected via ethernet)

  • HDMI sharing from the table.

I understand that the Tap IP does not support HDMI ingest, but the Tap is designed more to connect to a Teams PC. Although... I have read that the Tap is now supported in Teams appliance mode?

I do also have some Crestron HDMI over Ethernet transmitters, so I could use those for HDMI ingest, although I would prefer to keep the setup a little simpler if possible.

Any thoughts / suggestions?
