CollabOS 1.14 - Teams Multi-Stream, Zoom Intelligent Director and More

Our latest update of CollabOS is designed to elevate meeting room experiences, offering users more control, clarity, and flexibility. These updates enhance collaboration by expanding remote participants' experience with Multi-Stream, Intelligent Director, and Multi-Camera capabilities while also streamlining in-room functionality through HDMI ingest and BYOD controls. Enhancements to RightSight 2 Grid View further improve video clarity, while new options like Korbyt on Tap Scheduler expand integration possibilities. Check out all the functionality and features we added with our latest release.

Multi-Stream for Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows

Logitech’s Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini are now the first and only video bars that support up to five simultaneous video streams with Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows. This enables new options like toggling room views and upcoming enhancements such as People Recognition, which will display participant names. These advancements give remote users greater control over their meeting experience and viewing options. For more information, check out our guide.

Intelligent Director for Zoom Rooms Appliances

Logitech Sight, paired with Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini, now supports Intelligent Director for Zoom Room appliances. This solution will broadcast two simultaneous streams, one of the individuals around the table and a separate view of the entire room.

Coming soon, to bring Intelligent Director to even larger spaces, you’ll be able to daisy chain two Sight devices, which will provide a total of three streams that expand coverage, making it even more effective for larger or uniquely configured spaces. This setup ensures all participants—whether in-room or remote—are seen and heard clearly, elevating engagement and inclusivity in every meeting. For more information, check out this guide.

Multi-Camera for Zoom Rooms on RoomMate

Logitech RoomMate now supports Multi-Camera mode in Zoom Rooms. Admins can connect up to two Rally Cameras, providing two simultaneous views of the meeting room. This setup offers remote participants multiple angles, enhancing their meeting experience with greater visibility and engagement.

On the hardware side, to make multi-camera setups even more seamless, we’ve introduced the Rally Camera Extension Kit, enabling users to connect Rally cameras using category cable for greater flexibility in meeting room setups. This makes it easy to extend camera placement, supporting a wider range of room configurations while maintaining a clean and streamlined installation.

Grid View with Optical Zoom

We’ve upgraded the RightSight 2 Grid View feature for Rally Bar with optical zoom. Now, Grid View uses optical zoom to frame the group of participants before splitting them into individual tiles, providing enhanced clarity—especially in larger rooms where attendees may sit farther from the camera. This improvement is available for single-stream Grid View, including Zoom’s Multi-Focus, Composite View in Microsoft Teams, Grid View on Google Meet, and BYOD single-stream Grid View.

HDMI Ingest on Tap for Zoom Room Appliances (Beta)

For Android-based deployments, IT teams now have expanded options to provide in-room screen sharing by connecting an HDMI cable directly from the Tap to the meeting table, allowing employees to easily connect it to their laptops. Outside of meetings, the HDMI connection provides standard screen mirroring from the laptop to the display. During meetings, it enables participants to share their screens directly with the group without disrupting the virtual session, ensuring seamless and uninterrupted collaboration.

Enhanced BYOD Controls

Our meeting controller now offers enhanced controls for room systems set up in BYOD Mode with a Tap or Tap IP. In addition to manual camera and volume controls, employees can now easily switch between camera modes directly from the touch interface, providing more user options and better meeting experiences.

Improvements to Sync

Sync Remote UI sessions are now more seamless than ever. When initiating a Remote UI session from Sync, your LNA credentials are automatically applied, taking you directly into your session. Additionally, Sync now allows IT teams to toggle Sub-Tiling on or off for Windows-based systems and provides the ability to monitor Logitech Extend, streamlining device monitoring.

Korbyt Comes to Tap Scheduler

In addition to the wide range of existing options, we’ve added Korbyt as an available service provider option for use with Tap Scheduler.

CollabOS 1.14 brings a new level of flexibility and functionality to meeting spaces, ensuring a better experience for both in-room and remote participants. Be sure to explore the full details in the release notes on how these features can make meeting experiences even better for your employees.
