CollabOS 1.15: Dual Sights, Teams People Recognition, APIs, and More

Our latest release of CollabOS continues to transform and evolve the virtual conference space. Experience clearer conversations, more visibility, customized ways to manage deployments, and more. Here are the latest features in this release:

Dual Sight Coverage

Logitech Sight, the only front-and-center solution certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet, redefined how remote participants engage with people in the room by placing a camera and mic right in the middle of the table. By capturing faces and voices from where the conversation happens, Sight makes it easier for remote attendees to follow the discussion and see in-room participants more clearly. Many teams found it so effective that they wanted the option to add a second Sight for more coverage and better visibility in larger rooms.

With CollabOS 1.15, you can now daisy chain a second Sight to broadcast up to eight individuals, along with a dedicated room view. Just power the second Sight, connect it to the first, and you’re ready to go.

Dual Sight is currently in beta and works across Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and BYOD deployments in both Android and PC mode. For camera settings and platform-specific behavior, be sure to check out our configuration guide.

People Recognition in Microsoft Teams

We’ve been working closely with Microsoft Teams to usher in the AI-powered workplace. We started with Speaker Recognition, helping teams keep better track of in-room conversations by linking spoken dialogue to the right individuals. Then, with CollabOS 1.14, we launched multi-stream support—making Logitech the first and only OEM to deliver a total of five streams from a video bar.

Now, we’re adding a whole new layer to the AI-powered conference room: People Recognition.

Available for Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows with multi-stream, People Recognition identifies in-room participants and displays their names on individual tiles, making it easier for remote attendees to see who’s in the room. Paired with Speaker Recognition, Teams Rooms can now capture who’s in the room and who said what—enabling better understanding, more accurate notes, and more actionable follow-ups. Be sure to check out our guide for setup and more information.

New Improvements to RightSound 2 Audio

RightSound 2, our suite of algorithms designed to enhance vocal clarity by suppressing distracting noises, equalizing voice volumes, and eliminating echoes, just got another upgrade, making it better than ever. This means less background noise and echo, and better vocal clarity—so everyone in the room sounds clear to remote participants, no matter where they sit or which way they face. Be sure to watch our demo to hear the latest improvements in action.

Updated Interfaces and Custom Branding for Logitech Booking Solutions

Logitech Desk and Room Booking now offer a more cohesive and customizable experience. The refreshed desk booking interface delivers a streamlined, consistent look across devices, making it easier for employees to find and reserve spaces. IT admins can now upload custom backgrounds for desk booking displays and add company logos to Logitech View, reinforcing organizational branding throughout the workplace. We've also added support for labeling rooms without calendars—like kitchens, lounges, or executive offices—so they can be clearly identified without showing availability.

CollabOS and Sync APIS

Logitech APIs give IT teams the flexibility to build custom solutions and integrate device data into their own dashboards, workflows, and workplace systems. Whether you need local, on-device data with the free CollabOS API or fleet-wide data through the cloud-based Sync API, you have the information for your custom solution. Check out our API guides to learn more.
