CollabOS 2.0: Android 12, Assistive Listening, Logitech Spot, and More

CollabOS 2.0 lays the foundation for future updates, new capabilities, and long-term support across our portfolio. Here’s what’s in this release.

Upgrading to Android 12 

CollabOS 2.0 upgrades Rally Bar, Rally Bar Mini, RoomMate, Tap IP, and Tap Scheduler to Android 12. This update extends device longevity, ensures continued platform support, and adds three years of additional compatibility from partners like Microsoft and Zoom. By upgrading Logitech Android-based devices to Android 12, organizations can keep systems in service longer and avoid unnecessary hardware replacement.

Assistive Listening Support

Assistive listening, previously available in PC-based deployments, is now supported on Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini in Android-based deployments. This gives organizations a simple way to offer hearing augmentation devices to employees in the room.

Setup is straightforward, just requiring a USB-A to 3.5 mm adapter and a hearing augmentation system. No additional configuration is required. Check out our setup guide for more details.

Introducing Logitech Spot

Logitech Spot, our modern sensing device for workplace insights and automations, is now officially supported in CollabOS 2.0. Spot captures six environmental parameters that help teams understand room conditions and support employee comfort and productivity. It also enables workspace automation features, including Auto Book and Release, helping organizations to maximize the use of their rooms and spaces.
