With Auto Book and Release, room availability is always accurately represented, and reservations can be as easy as walking in and out of rooms.
Automate Room Booking
The concept of Auto Book and Release is simple: sensors in our video bars detect when people are in a room and then automatically create a room reservation. When the room is empty, the reservation is automatically removed. This feature works whether the room is being used for a video conference or an in-person meeting without video.
With Auto Book, when a reservation is created, it appears on the in-room display, the Tap meeting controller, and the Tap Scheduler outside the room.
Auto Release includes several helpful features, such as removing reservations if participants leave the meeting early or if no one shows up. Auto Release also addresses “ghost meetings,” where a recurring booking holds the room, but participants no longer show up. After a set number of consecutive no-shows, the system will automatically cancel future recurring reservations.
Room visibility with Logitech View
Logitech View, our interactive digital mapping solution, works in tandem with Auto Book and Release to provide an accurate, near real-time view of room availability across the office. Employees can also book rooms directly from the screen, search for coworkers, or just find their way around the office more easily. Just like Auto Book and Release, Logitech View works with leading service providers.
Customizing Your Settings with Logitech Sync
With Logitech Sync, you can customize Auto Book and Release settings to suit your organization. Set the time required for Auto Book to activate once someone is present, and adjust the timeframe of the reservation. For Auto Release, control how long a room stays reserved after it’s vacated. Additionally, specify how many consecutive missed recurring meetings can be missed before a recurring booking is automatically removed. With these settings, you can ensure room reservations are accurate and aligned to your organizational preferences.

This feature is available for Microsoft, Zoom, Robin, Appspace, Ricoh, Envoy, and Logitech Room Booking. Rooms must use a Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini and a Logitech Select or Essential license.
