Framing the Future of Meetings with Camera Zone
In our CollabOS 1.9 release, we were thrilled to unveil a much-requested feature called "Camera Zone" for Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini, and soon to be introduced to our new Rally Bar Huddle. This innovative setting empowers administrators to define a specific āzoneā for conference room cameras to frame participants. Take a look at this video to see how it works.
Camera Zone ensures that only those within the designated zone are focused on, eliminating distractions and enhancing the meeting's professional appearance. Whether it's a boardroom discussion, collaborative workshop, educational session, or dynamic conference, Camera Zone is essential to helping in-room meeting participants maintain focus and engagement. Letās talk through a few different scenarios where Camera Zone can be particularly helpful.Ā
Glass Walls
For spaces featuring floor-to-ceiling glass walls, even those distinct fishbowl-style rooms encased entirely in glass, Camera Zone emerges is an indispensable solution. Administrators can establish precise boundaries on the left, right, and back to ensure that individuals standing outside of the transparent wall will not be framed by the camera. This guarantees that the camera wonāt continuously shift between participants and outside distractions during the meeting. Again, itās about creating a distraction-free experience for your end-users.
Large Windows
Sometimes rooms have sizeable windows that face the outside. In many cases, these rooms are also prone to visual distractions from individuals having conversations right outside the office or even individuals performing outdoor maintenance. Again, Camera Zone becomes an indispensable tool to ensure that activity happening on the outside are not within within the framing zone of the camera.Ā
Lounge Areas
Hybrid meetings donāt just happen in traditional conference rooms, many companies have established lounge areas for teams to meet. These spaces can be used for impromptu discussions, larger team meetings, and collaborative sessions. Camera Zone can once again be used to define right, left, and depth boundaries around the lounge area to ensure that non-meeting employees can freely move through common areas without disrupting meetings in the open space.
By empowering administrators to set specific framing boundaries, whether in glass-walled spaces, or even open lounge areas, Camera Zone ensures that meetings remain focused and distraction-free. As we do with each of our updates, Camera Zone is yet another way that Logitech is enhancing collaboration and transforming the way we connect and communicate in this new hybrid work environment.
