Logi Options+ Offline Manual
The Logitech Options+ offline installer enables users as well as ITDMs to install the software to computers that do not have access to the internet (or are on an air gapped network). It shares all the same features as the retail online Options+ version.
Why choose the offline over the online version of Options+?
Air Gapped Network: For machines which are offline and have no direct access to the internet. The offline version of Options+ can be installed on those machines without needing to download additional content.
Security: The offline version of Options+ cannot send or receive data such as analytics or firmware status for example. The same goes for receiving data from servers to the offline version of Options+ within the network.
Mass and Silent installation Notes
The installer file is around 750 MB in size for Windows .exe and 800MB for MacOS .pkg file
The Options+ offline installer can be used with the script DFU tool
The Options+ offline installer can be used with mass deployment (including silent install)
The existing Options+ offline app can be left installed if the user/ITDM wants to install a newer version of the Options+ offline installer; just run the installer on the same computer and it will carry out an upgrade. This so the end user will not lose their settings or paired devices
The Options+ offline installer will have the same security structure as the online version
The user will need administrator access to install the offline version, the same as the online version of Options+ installer.
