Will Tap with USB Kit work with other computes?
At the time of launch, Tap with USB Kit will only work with the bundle it is included in with no current plans to offer it as a base bundle. It is only intended to be paired with the Lenovo i3.
Is the entire Tap with USB Kit bundle included in a single box?
Yes, similar to our other bundles, all components will be included in a single box packaged at our distribution center. The bundle includes Tap with USB Kit, MeetUp 2 and Lenovo Tiny i3 compute.
Can a USB-C to USB-C cable be used for content sharing?
No, the recommended method for content sharing is to use the included cable, HDMI (at the controller) to USB-C (at the end-user side). If preferred, an HDMI to HDMI cable will work, but USB-C to USB-C is unsupported.
Will this solution be compatible with the Cat5e Kit?
No, the Cat5e Kit will not work with this new solution. Tap with USB Kit uses DP Alt Mode (DisplayPort Alternate Mode), which the Tap Cat5e Kit does not support.
Is Tap with USB Kit a Sync managed device?
Yes, Tap with USB Kit is managed in Sync.
Will Tap with USB Kit and Tap USB share the same firmware versions?
No, they are two separate devices and will have different firmware versions.
Does the Tap with USB Kit have a Logitech logo on the front of the controller?
Yes, it will include a Logitech logo that is illuminated in white.
Are there any plans for the Tap with USB Kit to be included in a bundle with Rally Bar Huddle?
No, there are no plans to offer Tap with USB Kit with other video bars at this time.
Can an HDMI to USB-C cable be used with an existing Tap with Cat5e Kit?
Yes
Will the HDMI to USB-C cable included with the Tap with USB Kit be available as an accessory?
Yes
Is the Tap with USB Kit the same size as the original Tap?
Yes, it is the same size and has the same footprint.
Are there any plans to offer a longer cable than the included 5m cable that goes from compute to controller as it can be considered too short for certain deployments?
No, we do not recommend this small room MTRoW solution if the included 5m cable is too short for your current deployment plans.
Will Microsoft's current licensing plans be updated to include this type of room?
No, Microsoft's current licenses include Basic and Pro. Since basic licenses are limited in both feature and quantity, most of our customers have Teams Rooms Pro licenses.
Are there any plans to support two front-of-room displays?
No, there are no current plans to extend beyond one front-of-room display.
Roes the Tap with USB Kit include a 3.5mm connector on the controller?
No, it does not include a 3.5mm jack on the controller, but there is an available jack on the Lenovo compute.
