Getting Started with RightSight

This article aims to provide information and details related to RightSight. RightSight is Logitech’s auto-framing technology that ensures meeting participants are always perfectly framed.

How does RightSight work?

RightSight uses the latest in deep learning technology running on the PC to detect meeting participants and perfectly frame them regardless of if they are speaking, where they are looking, or if they are at the whiteboard and not looking towards the camera at all.

Compatibility

Windows / macOS

RightSight is supported on the following devices connected to a Windows 10 (64-bit) PC (or newer) or a Intel-Based Mac running macOS 10.14+.

Note:  The ability to use RightSight on Windows / macOS requires that Logitech Sync be installed.

CollabOS

RightSight is also supported on the following divides when connected to RoomMate running CollabOS 1.7+. See 3.2 RightSight on RoomMate.

Setup

To get RightSight on your MeetUp, Rally / Rally Plus, or Rally Camera on Windows/macOS, make sure you have installed Logitech Sync and the device has the latest firmware update.

RightSight is an integrated feature in video conferencing products that run CollabOS and can be managed in Sync and from the on-device Logitech settings menu.

Windows / macOS

1. Updating your device’s firmware will automatically enable RightSight. 

• Note: Before you run firmware updates, make sure your device drivers have been completely installed and your device isn’t in use by other applications.

• Install the latest firmware via the Logitech Sync local app.

2. Once the installation steps have been completed, you should now see the process named Logitech RightSight Service (x86) in Windows Task Manager / macOS Activity Monitor. This means the service has been installed and is running.

3. To toggle RightSight on or off, in the Logitech Sync application, navigate to your device settings.

CollabOS

1. On your Tap / Tap IP connected to the host Roommate, navigate to the System Settings menu.

2. Select Camera > RightSight

3. Enable RightSight

4. Set RightSight to Dynamic or On call start

   1. Dynamic will allow RightSight to make adjustments during the meeting.

   2. On call start will allow RightSight to adjust only when starting a meeting.
