Does Rally Bar Huddle support content sharing over USB-C?
No, the USB-C port on the back of the Rally Bar Huddle cannot be used directly for content sharing (video input) from a laptop. The USB-C port on the device is designed for data and peripheral connectivity. Its primary function is:
USB/BYOD Mode: Connecting the Rally Bar Huddle to a room PC or laptop to act as the camera, microphone, and speaker.
How to share content on Rally Bar Huddle
To share your screen from a laptop, you must use the dedicated HDMI In port on the back of the device. Depending on your setup, here are the standard ways to share:
Wired Sharing (Two-Cable BYOD): Connect an HDMI cable from your laptop to the Rally Bar Huddle's HDMI In port, and a USB cable for the camera and audio.
Single-Cable Solution (Logitech Extend): If you want the convenience of a single USB-C cable at the table that handles both content sharing and camera connectivity, you would need to add Logitech Extend.
Wireless Sharing: If the room is running in Appliance Mode (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, or Google Meet), you can share wirelessly using the native "Cast" or "Direct Sharing" features of those applications.
