Sight Frequently Asked Questions

Can Sight be mounted from the ceiling?

Currently, Sight is for table or tripod installation only. Alternative mounting options, such as a ceiling mount are not available at this time. For more information on installation, please check out these articles:

Can multiple Sight cameras be connected?

Dual Sight “daisy chain” deployments are possible starting from CollabOS 1.15 (in CollabOS 1.15 this feature is in Beta).  By connecting two Sight cameras via a Cat6A SFTP/SSTP shielded cable, you may extend coverage to longer tables or larger rooms, beyond the single Sight 2.3m or 7.5ft radius coverage area.  See the Sight wiring diagrams for deployment information.

Note: Daisy-chaining is a Beta feature in CollabOS 1.15.

Is Sight a network compatible device?

Sight will not show up on the network as a separate device, and doesn't have an IP address either.

How do I find the serial number for Logitech Sight?

Sight serial number can be found on the bottom of the device or in Sync (app/portal), also in the CollabOS settings of the Rally Bar/Mini.

Can Sight be connected to a USB hub or splitter?

Logitech Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini do not support USB hubs, so the Sight host dongle must be connected directly to a USB-A port and the Mic Pod port on the device.

How does the room system prevent duplicate audio from Sight at the table and front-of-room camera?

Similar to our Mic Pods, our front-of-room camera determines which microphone has the best audio quality and sends that to the far end. Switching what audio is picked up between microphones is done automatically.

What privacy features does Sight have?

Sight has a magnetic shade that provides privacy and peace of mind when the tabletop camera isn’t in use. Users can slide the magnetic shade in front of the lenses to not only automatically turn off video capture, but also physically cover the lenses.

Does Logitech Sight only work with Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini?

Sight works best with Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini running CollabOS software, however, Sight will work with Rally and Rally Plus systems using RoomMate or a dedicated PC after product launch (integrations and experience will vary by video platform).

Will Sight be available as a solution bundle with Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini?

No, Sight will not be placed in a bundle with Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini, as it will work in deployments outside of those video bars.

What video conferencing platforms does Logitech Sight work with?

Sight is certified with leading video conferencing service providers like Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet. Consult the Sight Compatibility and Certification Information page for details.

Does Sight need any other devices or accessories in order to work with Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini?

Aside from what’s included in the Sight package, users will need to provide an 802.3at POE+ source (either an 802.3at POE+ injector or a 802.3at POE+ network switch port) and CAT6A SFTP/SSTP shielded cabling.  The Sight host dongle, included in the package, is required for installation. If there is no LED activity, check the POE+ power source and make sure that your power injector or network switch supports at least 802.3at or above (802.3af is not compatible).

Is there any difference between using CAT6 or CAT6A cables with Sight?

Sight requires Cat6A SFTP/SSTP shielded category cable for data and power, and Sight was qualified with CAT6A SFTP/SSTP and CAT7 SFTP/SSTP. Using any other types of cables (Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6), or an unshielded cable, is not supported.

Does Logitech Sight require calibration?

Logitech Sight leverages RightSight 2 for dynamic framing, eliminating the need for any calibration. Its configuration depends on the video conferencing software you're using and Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini settings. You may want to take a look at the following articles: Configuring Sight and Sight Installation.

How many people are required for Sight to activate?

Sight will activate and frame participants as long as two or more people are in view.
