Enabling Insights
Insights transforms the way you understand your meeting spaces, offering valuable details like occupancy, meeting usage, and beyond. With the ability to set Insights Working Hours, you unlock a clearer, more focused view of how your spaces are truly being utilized - bringing smarter decision-making to every corner of your organization.

Enable Insights
To use the Insights feature within Sync, follow the instructions below for setup and configuration.
Firewall Setup
Please ensure your Firewall and Proxy settings are set up for Sync to function on a secure network.Â
For CollabOS devices (Rally Bar/Rally Bar Mini/RoomMate), please also follow the Firewall Settings from the CollabOS Guide.Â
Assign Licenses
Next, you'll need to assign licenses. You can learn more about it in the Contracts and License Management Article.
Configure Devices
Once your room(s) have Select/Sync Plus licenses associated with them, next youâll configure your video conferencing devices to support Logitech Insights.Â
For non-CollabOS devices (Rally Systems / MeetUps) please ensure that the latest available firmware is installed.

You can also install firmware updates from the Logitech Sync Portal: https://sync.logitech.com/login
Once the device(s) is up to date please ensure that the RightSight is enabled.

Notes:
For Logitech MeetUP and Rally Systems âDynamicâ Mode has to be selected from the camera menu to ensure people counting is working as intended.
For Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini âDynamicâ or âon Call Startâ can be selected.Â
For Rally Bar/Mini/RoomMate, RightSight is enabled under Logitech Settings > Camera > RightSight toggle > On.

Room Occupancy can be set to âAlways ONâ or "Only during meetings" under âCameraâ settings. (This doesn't apply to RoomMate as this device depends on an external camera.)

When using Rally Bar/Mini in appliance mode, Connectivity TCP/IP needs to be connected under Logitech Settings > Connectivity > TCP/IPÂ details.Â
Working Hours for Insights
Insights Working Hours - a smarter, more intuitive way to fine-tune your workspace analytics. Designed for Sync Admins, this feature lets you customize working hours directly within the Sync Portal, delivering room insights that reflect the real rhythm of your business. Whether you're managing hybrid teams, adjusting for holidays, or optimizing weekend operations, this feature ensures your space tells the true story of how itâs being used.
Access your organizationâs Insights working hours under âSettingsâ and the Insights settings tab.
Enable each day via the toggle.
Adjust the hours of each day
Copy that dayâs schedule to other days if you wish
Select apply to save your settings

Non-global Sync Plus Tenants
Customers on non-global sync tenants such as EU, France and Canada are still eligible for Logi Sync Plus support & services. But the Service SELECT Contracts portal cannot sync the data from Sync Portal in different regions (like Canada and Europe) due to Data Privacy/Storage.Â
For customers on the EU, French and Canadian Sync server: Organization, Room & Device details can be uploaded directly to Select Service portal without integrating with Sync.
Note:Features like Insights, Room Analytics and Alerts will continue to be available.Â
First navigate to your Sync tenant and log in as an administrator.
Select all rooms youâd like to import.
Click âdownload data.â Save the CSV file on your local computer.
Navigate to your Service portal.
In the Rooms page, click "Add rooms" > "Import from CSV."
Navigate to the Support tab of your Service portal and raise a ticket with the request to enable Insights as a free trial for Sync EU users.Â
