This guide aims to provide troubleshooting steps to address common display related issues regarding Logitech Tap, including, but not limited to:
Blank display after waking from sleep
Displaying a black image despite responding to touch
General connection related issues
Troubleshooting Steps
Tap Firmware Update
Download, Install, and/or open the Logitech Sync application on the host PC.
Navigate to Tap on the left hand side.
Select the three dots in the top right corner.
Select Check for updates.
Update the Tap if applicable.
Update Windows
Navigate to your video conferencing platforms Admin Portal
Find your room PC
Check for updates
DisplayLink Driver Update
While DisplayLink drivers are installed via Windows updates, if you are using a custom update configuration, itās best to ensure these drivers are up to date:
Download the latest DisplayLink drivers.
You can find the driver under the āLatest Official Driversā section.
Install the downloaded drivers.
Adjust Power and Sleep Settings
Navigate to your PCās Windows Admin profile.
Open Power & Sleep Settings:
Go to Settings by pressing Windows + I.
Click on System, then select Power & sleep from the left-hand menu.
Set Performance Profile:
Under the Related settings, click on Additional power settings.
In the Power Options window, select High performance or Ultimate Performance (if available).
Set Sleep settings:
Under Power & sleep settings, set both Screen and Sleep to Never.
Change Advanced Power Settings
Change Plan Settings:
In the Power Options window, next to your selected power plan, click on Change plan settings.
Modify Advanced Power Settings:
Click on Change advanced power settings.
In the Advanced settings window, scroll to USB settings and expand it.
Expand USB selective suspend setting and set it to Disabled.
Disable PCI Express Power Management:
Scroll to PCI Express, expand it, and then expand Link State Power Management.
Set it to Off.
Apply Changes:
Click Apply and then OK to close the dialog.
Scheduled Reboot
Open Task Scheduler:
Press Windows + R
Type taskschd.msc
Press Enter.
Create a New Task:
Click on Create Basic Task in the right panel.
Follow the wizard to name your task (for example, Scheduled Reboot).
Set Trigger:
Choose Daily or as required
Set the time for the reboot (e.g., early morning).
Set Action:
Select Start a program
Type shutdown in the Program/script box.
In the Add arguments box, type /r /f /t 0 to force a reboot.
Finish and Save:
Review the settings and click Finish to save the task.
Display Settings
Enable CEC on your Display (if applicable)
Disable Auto Power off functionality (sometimes called āEco Modeā)
