3.9 Logitech Sight in CollabOS: Smart Switching, Dual Sights, Compatibility and More
Sight with CollabOS
Sight requires a Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini running the latest version of CollabOS. Follow the Sight hardware setup instructions.
When connected, the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini will automatically update the Sight to the latest firmware.
For dual Sight setups, follow the instructions in the section Updating Sight.
Once detected, Sight(s) will appear under Settings > Peripherals on the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini
Sight extends RightSight 2 framing technology, inheriting camera settings from the connected Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini
Sight Framing Behavior
Sight dynamically adapts its framing behavior to in-room participant activity:
Sight frames a speaker after they have spoken for 1–2 seconds.
Sight stops framing a speaker about 45 seconds after they stop speaking.
If no one is speaking, Sight frames the four (4) participants furthest from the front-of-room camera.
If several speakers stop speaking at once, Sight tracks these speakers as a group and stops framing them after ~60 seconds.
If microphones are muted, framing ceases, and the view from the front-of-room camera of the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini is used.
If only one person is in the room, Sight will not frame them. The view from the front-of-room camera of the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini is used instead.
The image quality of camera views from the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini front-of-room camera and Sight cameras may differ. Factors such as the distance between the devices, distance from a camera to an in-room participant, and presence (or absence) of lighting sources in a camera’s field of view may cause these differences. Future CollabOS updates will aim to minimize image quality variability.
Smart Switching
Smart Switching dynamically provides the best view of in-room participants depending on the direction they are facing. Smart Switching will automatically choose a participant’s best view between the front-of-room camera and Sight (center-of-table) camera. In a dual Sight deployment, Smart Switching is only used for in-room participants in the field of view of the Sight closest to the front-of-room camera.
Participants facing each other across the table will be framed by Sight.
Participants facing the front of the room to address remote attendees will typically be framed by the front-of-room camera (Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini).
Participants seated at the head of the table will only be framed by Sight (green). This ensures that participants further away from the front-of-room camera are captured by the Sight camera, which will produce the best image quality.
Sight Placement
To ensure proper in-room participant framing, the Sight must be placed at a specific distance from the front-of-room-camera and each other.
First or single Sight: 2.5m from Rally Bar/Mini
Sight and Camera Zone
Camera Zone settings are automatically enabled when a Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini is deployed with Sight or dual Sights and the system is using a camera mode that includes the Sight(s). These settings apply to the front-of-room camera, causing its field of view to match the range of Sight’s cameras to facilitate Smart Switching.
Dual Sight Support (Beta)
Dual Sight deployment extends coverage for longer tables or larger rooms by connecting two Sight cameras to Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini, permitting broader participant framing with multiple camera angles.
Requirements
Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini
CollabOS version 1.15+
Two (2) Logitech Sight cameras
CollabOS version 1.15+. For additional information about updating a Sight, consult the section Updating Sight.
Follow the Sight Wiring Diagrams for proper setup
Sight Placement
To ensure proper in-room participant framing, the Sights must be placed at a specific distance from the front-of-room-camera and each other.
First Sight: 2.5m from Rally Bar/Mini
Second Sight: 2.5m from the first Sight
To avoid duplication of in-room participants in video streams, in-room participant seating positions should not straddle the area between the two Sight fields of view (see diagram)
In-room participants no more than 7m from Rally Bar/Mini

When using Zoom Rooms Intelligent Director camera mode with dual Sights, the second Sight device (furthest from the Rally Bar/Mini) will continue sending its video stream to the Zoom meeting even when no people are detected in its view.
If “Picture-in-picture” is deselected, only the view of the active speaker will be shown
How to enable Sight in a Zoom meeting
To configure default behavior: from the Zoom admin portal, configure the Zoom Rooms’ default Camera Control Mode to Speaker focus, Multi-Focus or Intelligent Director.
During a meeting-in-progress: from the controller Camera controls menu, choose Speaker focus, Multi-Focus or Intelligent Director camera mode.
RightSight 2 configuration options such as Picture-in-picture or Framing Speed are only available in CollabOS Device Settings, Local Network Access (LNA) or Sync portal.

Known Issues & Limitations
General
You must follow device placement distances - first Sight 2.5m from Rally Bar/Mini, and second Sight 2.5m from first Sight.
Video
When someone sits between the two Sight devices in a dual Sight deployment, the system may fail to detect them or may detect them in both camera streams simultaneously.
When using Zoom Rooms Intelligent Director camera mode with two Sight devices connected to a Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini, the second Sight device (furthest from the Rally Bar) will continue sending its video stream to the Zoom meeting even when no people are detected in its view.
