3.9 Logitech Sight Smart Switching
Smart Switching (Beta) dynamically switches between the front-of-room and center-of-table camera video streams based on the direction participants face, ensuring a constant, front-facing view of people in the room.

Understanding Smart Switching features:
Switching Zone
Only participants within the designated switching zone (red) will be switched between the Rally Bar and the Sight camera stream based on their head pose.
Those seated at the head of the table will be framed by Sight (green). This ensures that participants further away from the front-of-room video bar are captured by the camera which will produce the best image quality.
Setup Requirements
Logitech Sight connected to a Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini.
Sight with CollabOS 1.13 or higher.
Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini with CollabOS 1.13 or higher.
We suggest establishing a camera zone in rooms with glass walls.
Instructions for setting up Camera Zones
We recommend setting up Sight at least 2.5 meters away from the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini.
Note: A future CollabOS update will lower the minimum threshold.
Enabling Smart Switching
Rally Bar and Rally Bar Mini must be set to Speaker View mode, and Smart Switching must be enabled.
Note: Smart Switching is disabled by default in CollabOS 1.13 and will be enabled by default in a future update.
To set to Speaker View mode:
Zoom Rooms Appliance
On Zoom Rooms Controller > Camera controls > Speaker Focus
Teams Rooms on Android
Select Active Speaker from the Smart Camera Control
Teams Room on Windows, Zoom Rooms for Windows, Google Chromebox, or USB Mode / BYOD
To set the device camera mode to Speaker View, use the Sync app or Sync Portal.
Known Behaviors
When Smart Switching is enabled, the system will show the 4 most recent speakers. When Smart Switching is disabled, Sight automatically drops non-active speakers.
The image quality of Rally Bar and Sight devices can differ. Factors such as the distance between the devices and participants and lighting sources may cause these differences. Future CollabOS updates will aim to minimize image quality variability.
Sight will detect and frame people seated within a 3-meter (10-foot) radius. When Smart Switching is enabled, a designated camera zone only applies to Rally Bar. If a camera zone is set but disabled, it will automatically enable when a call starts.
