Please read our AOSP migration guide and Microsoft’s blog post before updating and make sure all the steps are completed before proceeding with an update.

IMPORTANT 

  • Teams Room on Android Only

    • This release includes support for the new Microsoft AOSP Device Management (DM) solution. To avoid Teams Rooms signing out after updating, action may be required based on how your devices are managed.

    • If you're not using Microsoft Intune to manage Teams Rooms on Android, make sure to disable Intune in Microsoft 365—see Microsoft’s documentation for instructions.

    • Deployment

      • We strongly recommend rolling out this update in controlled batches, monitoring device behavior closely to minimize disruption. This staggered approach allows you to detect any unexpected issues or sign-outs caused by your organization’s unique configuration.

      • We recommend keeping your room displays on and disabling power saving settings on the TAC profiles during the update for a seamless transition. See support article about Power Saving.

    • Sign-out Assistance

      • To help organizations recover from device sign-outs caused by network or configuration issues, complimentary access to Remote UI Access will be made available.

      • To use Remote UI Access, start a free 90-day trial within Sync. If you’ve previously activated a trial, contact us and we’ll restart your 90-day access.
