CollabOS 2.0.B (2.0.300)

Release date: August 26th, 2025

IMPORTANT

This release includes support for the migration of Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android infrastructure to Android Open Source Project Device Management (DM), which is only relevant for Teams Rooms users.

  • Additional information for Teams Room on Android customers only

    • Please review Logitech's AOSP Migration Guide,  Microsoft’s blog post and Microsoft’s Migrating Teams Android Devices to AOSP Device Management from Device Administrator guide entirely prior to starting the migration to avoid your devices being signed out. If you're not using Microsoft Intune to manage Teams Rooms on Android, make sure to disable Intune in Microsoft 365, see Microsoft’s documentation for instructions.

    • Deployment

      • We strongly recommend rolling out this update in controlled batches, monitoring device behavior closely to minimize disruption. This staggered approach allows you to detect any unexpected issues or sign-outs caused by your organization’s unique configuration.

      • We recommend keeping your room displays on and disabling any power saving settings on the TAC profiles during the update for a seamless transition. See support article about Power Saving

    • Remote Access

      • To help organizations recover from device sign-outs that may be caused by network or configuration issues, complimentary access to Remote UI Access will be made available.

      • To use Remote UI Access, start a free 90-day trial within Sync.

      • If you’ve previously activated a trial, contact us and we’ll restart your 90-day access.

BUG FIXES

  • CollabOS

    • Fixed an issue that occasionally prevented Sync Insights from receiving meeting usage data on networks that use a web proxy.

    • Fixed an issue where a device configured with the Camera setting “Room Occupancy” set to “off” would unexpectedly set it to “Always on” while a meeting was in progress.

  • Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android

    • Fixed an issue that prevented PowerPoint Live presentations from being displayed on CollabOS devices.

    • Fixed an issue where a “Swap screens for dual display mode” dialog appeared on the front-of-room or controller display when TAC configuration profile and CollabOS display settings for display swapping conflicted. TAC configuration profile settings for display swap will now be ignored.

    • Fixed an issue that caused the microphone to stop functioning when joining a Microsoft Teams call using QR code or proximity join.

  • Zoom Rooms Appliance

    • Fixed an issue where motion sensor events would not be sent when the Zoom Rooms setting “Count the number of people in room” was disabled.

    • Fixed an issue where the CollabOS device would unexpectedly disconnect from ZDM after a reboot when network services or NTP sync exceeded the expected threshold.
